Canon Speedlite 430EX II

Posted by gani

Months after I purchased my first ever DSLR, I was able to play with it and use it especially during family gatherings. I’ve noticed that in some occasions where I need to take pictures under low light, I wasn’t able to get the exact brightness I want even if using my camera’s built-in flash. Of course, there are other techniques to get more light like increasing ISO, exposure, etc.

That is why Ros and I decided to get an external flash and we picked Canon Speedlite 430EX II.

Canon Speedlite 430EX II

Its main features are:

  • Superior build quality, including a metal foot for added strength
  • Approx. 20% faster recycling time, compared to previous 430EX
One-touch, quick-lock mechanism for easy attaching/detaching flash from camera
  • Full flash control possible on camera menu, with compatible EOS Digital SLR cameras
  • Virtually silent flash recycle
  • Full swivel, 180° in either direction
  • Zoom flash head covers range of 24-105mm; maximum guide number 141 ft./43m at ISO 100

Need to start playing with it to better understand how it works :)

ABS-CBN Buys 5% Stake in Multiply

I just read an interesting blog post in TechCrunch. ABS-CBN paid a staggering $5 million for 5% stake in Multiply! Good buy for ABS-CBN since Multiply is so popular here in the Philippines.

I would like to greet my wife a happy, happy birthday! She just turned *tut-tut* today. Clue — she’s 4 months older than me — she just look way younger than her age. Naks. I wish you all the best! Enjoy your day :)

Batman The Dark Knight Quick Review

Posted by gani

Batman is breaking box office record on its first week. Why? Aside from the fact that it’s a Batman movie, much of the interest builds up from the shocking death of Heath Ledger who played the role of The Joker. Ros and I watched the movie yesterday. I’m sure some or many of you will disagree if I say that the movie is a bit boring. IMHO, the only good thing about this movie is Heath Ledger period. I will give it 3/5 rating.
